Paper B

The purpose of Paper B is to assess the ability of a candidate to reply to an official communication in which prior art has been cited. The duration of the exam is 4 hours long, and takes place on the 2^nd afternoon of the exam week.

There are dedicated areas on EQE-Forum for Paper B Chemistry and for Paper B Electricity/Mechanics where candidates can post questions and contribute to discussions on Paper B in general and on past papers. A tutor is available to answer questions and to give advice.

There are several commented answer papers for 2009 Paper B Chemistry which have been reviewed by tutors and comments have been added to explain where candidates have made errors and how those errors might have been avoided.

There is a case study for Paper B Electricity/Mechanics which can be downloaded from EQE-Forum. Detailed comments, along the lines of an Examiner's Report, are also available.
